Chapter 1029: Other “Li Lingjing”
When Li Luo's gloomy words rang out, Qin Yi felt a chill run through her body. Majestic amounts of resonant power poured out of her, transforming into countless droplets of water that surrounded her as she adopted a defensive posture.
At the same time, four radiant Heavenly Pearls materialized behind her, greedily sucking up worldly natural energy.
Her gaze attentively focused upon the fake Li Lingjing. This was a cunning opponent, capable of almost perfectly transforming into someone else with almost no evident flaws.
Although Li Luo's suspicions seemed a little far-fetched, the words he had said were also a form of a test. Being cautious in such a situation was necessary to protect their lives.
Li Luo's cold eyes were locked on the familiar figure as he brandished his blade.
Seeing that the two were now on alert, the fake Li Lingjing's delicate body trembled lightly and laughter rang out.
However, the sound of the laughter didn't seem to have originated from her mouth, but from the back of her head, which was covered in long, black hair. It was then that the long hair parted by itself, revealing a pasty, white visage with sinister eyes.
The sharp laughter had originated from the pasty visage, and the very sound of it seemed to contain some bizarre power. Anyone who heard it would feel the negative emotions burrowed deep in their hearts surface.
This sight dashed any remaining hopes that it was truly Li Lingjing before them. Without a doubt, it was an Other.
Li Luo's probing questions had not been in vain. Additionally, it seemed like the Other was not willing to waste any more time carrying on with the farce.
"Sisisi!" The ugly, pasty visage emitted an ear-piercing shriek. Dense amounts of blood-red energy spewed out from his mouth, dyeing the previously black hair red.
The blood-red hair seemed to have turned into a living creature, quickly intertwining into two fanged snakes. With a twitch of their bodies, the two blood snakes pierced through the void with shocking speed towards the duo.
It was like the condensation of filth and negative emotions, roaring as they blitzed towards them. Li Luo's breathing slowed down to a crawl at the oppressive atmosphere, but his actions were unaffected. He hacked downwards with his blade directly.
The slash left an afterimage of light in its wake, and a gash was torn through the void. A raging torrent of rushing water could be heard from the gap before an imposing, gigantic, black dragon emerged from it. The black, frigid water that surrounded its body very quickly merged with it, and its aura surged into the skies. With a wave of its claws, dozens of deep claw marks appeared on the ground, each one dozens of feet long.
A corrosive aura could be felt within the marks, continuously eating away at the ground with frightening destructive power.

Li Luo held nothing back in reserve when facing the unknown Other. He had struck out with the intention to kill from the very beginning.
Qin Yi's expression was similarly solemn as the four Heavenly Pearls behind her began to spin rapidly. An illusory copy of herself appeared behind her. It was her Spirit Avatar.
The Spirit Avatar's appearance caused all of the water elemental worldly natural energy in the environment to rush towards her.
Stretching her hand out, green jade light bloomed while her fingers moved as though she was plucking an instrument. Crisp, ringing sounds rang out as the light exploded outwards, transforming into an immense jade handprint that struck the roaring blood snake.

A moment later, a terrifying wave of energy swept across the land, shattering the earth they stood on.
When the attacks collided, the two blood snakes suddenly opened their maws, revealing mouths full of fangs and, strangely, a pair of pale, human hands! The hands formed a seal, which caused a blood mist to spew outwards.
Wherever the blood mist pa.s.sed, regardless of whether it was Li Luo's Underworld River's Black Dragon or Qin Yi's Green Jade Handprint, everything dissipated in its wake.
Li Luo's and Qin Yi's expressions changed upon seeing this. They had not held back in the slightest, so the immediate threat had been dealt with quite easily.
It was then that the fake Li Lingjing suddenly vanished.
At that very instant, the blood mist in front of Li Luo rippled, and Li Lingjing reappeared. The Aquamarine Bamboo Python Staff in her hand had transformed into a long, white bone. It resembled a thigh bone, but with all of the flesh and blood sucked dry.
The bone was wielded like a club, and she gracefully smashed it towards Li Luo's head.
Majestic amounts of blood light condensed on the thigh bone, transforming into a ferocious grimace that emitted countless shrill howls, temporarily inundating the target.
As the bone swung downwards, Li Luo could feel that the frightening energy that had condensed upon it far exceeded that of the Heavenly Pearl Tier.
The nine scales on his forehead radiated with scintillating light, then dragon scales materialized on his entire body. His blood and flesh trembled as they werre strengthened by his art.
"Nine Scales Sanctified Dragon's Body, Nine Dragons' Might!
"Thunderpeal Avatar! Five Sonic Pulses!
"Level Three Divine Elephant Power!"
Every single secret art Li Luo possessed was brought to the fore. With the tempering of his Thunder Dragon resonance, the thunder resonant power within his body had strengthened and he was able to bring the Thunderpeal Avatar to Grand Perfection as well.
All the resonant power within Li Luo's body bubbled up and fused, forming boundless amounts of dual resonant power. The Vestiges of Spirituality appeared within it and brought a hint of sentience to the resonant power, improving its effectiveness greatly.
The three Heavenly Pearls behind him began to shine with blinding light as they began to recklessly absorb worldly natural energy.
Li Luo then struck outwards with his blade so quickly that it left an afterimage behind, akin to a comet with a tail.
The void twisted in the wake of this mighty blow as he struck the falling white bone.
Clang!
Blade met bone, and the resulting energy blast threw the surroundings into disarray. Sparks flew as the two weapons clashed. The ground which Li Luo stood on cracked and collapsed from the sheer force.
A burst of t.i.tanic force pressed downwards upon Li Luo like a collapsing building. Despite the aid of all his secret arts, the palm holding the blade split from resisting the attack, and rivulets of fresh blood flowed down his arm.
The blade was imbued with dual resonant power, which was being eroded by the filthy, blood-red energy that emitted harsh howls. If not for the Vestiges of Spirituality, he might have been defeated instantly.
The fake Li Lingjing had demonstrated overwhelming strength.
Just as Li Luo's attack was about to be destroyed, Qin Yi quickly came to his aid. She spat out a blue pearl that seemed to contain an entire ocean. The object seemed innocuous enough, but it possessed the weight of a mountain! The void around it distorted, seemingly unable to support the weight of the pearl.
This was Qin Yi's Twin violet-eye treasured artifact, the Boundless Heavy Ocean Pearl.
It transformed into a bolt of blue light that heavily struck the thigh bone. A faint buzzing sound erupted at that moment, and a mighty gravitational force came into being, forcing the b.l.o.o.d.y grimace on the bone to pause for a moment.
Li Luo then swiftly took the opportunity to retreat.
He regrouped next to Qin Yi, the hand holding the blade trembling uncontrollably. "Thank you, Fairy Qin, for taking action."
Qin Yi coolly replied, "If you were to die here, I wouldn't be able to escape either."
"Its strength should be around the Lesser Heavenly Resonance Tier, so not as strong as what the White Ape said. I don't think this is the Other's true body," Li Luo replied. The previous clash had allowed him to gain a better understanding of the Other's capabilities.
"Lesser Heavenly Resonance Tier... that's still more than sufficient to kill the both of us." Qin Yi turned her beautiful eyes towards Li Luo. "Dragon's Head Li Luo, if you aren't able to summon up the strength that allowed you to deal with Tian Miao and Zhao Yan, I'm afraid we won't be able to get out of this."
One of them was a three-pearl and the other was a four-pearl. Despite being the top amongst their peers, they were incapable of dealing with the Other before them.
"This thing can fuse with the blood mist and is hard to catch. If we can't restrain it, slaying it will be impossible." Li Luo glanced at the Other. At the same moment, it vanished yet again, completely becoming one with the blood mist and leaving not even a trace behind.
This was incredibly difficult to deal with. Li Luo could indeed summon the Three-tailed Heavenly Wolf's strength, but he had to save it for a critical opportunity. Otherwise, the Other might simply hide itself to tide over the disaster. After which, Li Luo would be helpless to deal with it afterwards.
Qin Yi quietly observed the blood mist before sighing deeply. "I might be able to help you with this."
"Oh?" Li Luo's eyebrows jumped in surprise. Qin Yi actually possessed the means to trap a Lesser Heavenly Resonance Other?
"It seems like you have already forgotten about our battle at the Dragonbreath Pool." Qin Yi smiled lightly.
She did not speak further. Her jade-like fingers swiftly formed hand seals, then her gemstone studded earring flew forward, emitting countless rays of light.
The rays of light then gradually intertwined, transforming into a gigantic hall that enveloped the entire area.
This familiar sight reminded Li Luo of the Dragonbreath Pool Battle. Qin Yi had summoned up this water hall to obstruct all of the elites from the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li.
It was a type of ward that had the power to create an illusory copy of the opponent. Whoever fell into it would be entangled with a water replica.
The appearance of the water hall caused the blood mist to gradually recede. Then a figure made of blood appeared before them. It was the true form of the Other that had attempted to mimic Li Lingjing.
At the same instant, the gla.s.s-like floor beneath it flickered, and an identical water replica took shape.
The water replica oozed with corruption as it pounced at the Other.
The Other cackled, and immense amounts of corruption flooded out fo its body, causing the water replica to dissipate.
Clearly, the fake could not block the actual one for long.
Qin Yi bit her lip as she reminded him, "Dragon's Head Li Luo, please hurry up. Without the Fire Lotus Camp's a.s.sistance, the amount of energy I have is severely limited."
Li Luo nodded lightly before a wolf's howl came from the scarlet bracelet on his wrist. Berserk crimson energy swept out of it like a tide and entered Li Luo's body.

The power of his aura skyrocketed and the energy undulations coming from him strengthened immensely. In the span of a few seconds, it reached the limit of what the Spiritual Resonance Cave could allow.
The Lesser Heavenly Resonance Tier!
Li Luo was incomparably calm despite feeling the terrifying energy circulating within his body. This was a sensation he would not get drunk upon. Controlling the entire banner and wielding the strength of a Duke was far superior to this.
His b.l.o.o.d.y hand tightly grasped his blade as his icy gaze focused upon the trapped Other. Leaping forward, the untamed and ceaseless energy poured out of him into his surroundings. The air shook and boomed in his presence.
He flashed forward like a bolt of lightning, intent on decimating the enemy.
