Chapter 1539  You Again?

"Hand it over." Grey spoke slowly as he moved closer to the young lady.

He got a better look at her face as he drew closer. She wasn't the prettiest girl he had seen, of course, she is pretty, but compared to his mother and a few girls he had seen, she was a little lacking. She was around five foot nine inches which wasn't bad for a lady.

Seeing Grey draw closer, the young lady gritted her teeth, "No."

"Is this thing more valuable than your life?" Grey found it odd, but as he drew closer, the young lady started to freeze.

Before she could answer, Grey was already standing before her. He didn't want to kill her. He grabbed her hand, and removed the storage ring.

To the absolute dismay of the young lady, Grey was able to access her storage ring without any resistance. This came as a shock to her. After a second or so, Grey made an 'Oh', before handing the ring back to her.

"Don't worry, I didn't take anything else."

With that statement, Grey vanished. Leaving the girl, still frozen, but with the ice slowly thawing away.

As soon as the ice thawed, the young lady fell to her knees, sobbing from losing the item.

….

Grey appeared close to Klaus who was watching everyone who had stopped fighting as they were trying to figure out what just happened. It hadn't been up to two minutes since Grey and the thief left this place.

"Got it?" Kluas asked when Grey arrived.

"Yeah." Grey nodded.

He took a glance at the dumbfounded crowd that didn't have any strength to fight anymore. They didn't know who took the treasure, nor where to even start searching.

It was a crazy thing since most of them wanted to kill each other a few minutes ago, but now, they were all standing dumbstruck.

"What about the thief?" Klaus asked, looking at the crowd in amus.e.m.e.nt. To be honest, if he was among them, he would also be dumbstruck at the sudden turn of events.

"No one of importance, brave though. The fact that a Ninth stage Venerable would dare to steal from such a group is shocking." Grey commented.

"People are desperate Grey, not everyone has it easy like you do." Klaus said.

"Since when have I ever had it easy?" Grey felt like punching Klaus in the head, from the looks of it, Klaus' brain needs resetting.

Klaus shrugged, as if not concerned with Grey's question. He looked on as the group started to disperse. They were still trying to find who stole it, but everyone knew whoever did it was long gone.

Grey and Klaus stayed there for a while before heading out for their original plan. Other than the presence of this treasure, there's no other useful information from the City, so he headed straight for the Necromancer's hideout.

The man who was under Grey's control had already been sent there for some time now, and Grey had gotten the general information of everything happening there.

A few Necromancers were out for missions, just like the previous hideouts they've wiped out, but in this case, there's a particular figure that was interesting. A First stage Sovereign was sent out to acquire something, well, someone. According to what Grey found out, this person was very valuable to not just the Necromancers, but to the Gnomes as well.

He quickly changed his plans. Since this person is valuable to the Gnomes, then he had to make sure they never got their hands on whoever this person was.

Klaus didn't have any issues with the change of plans. He also didn't want the Gnomes to have anything good.

The duo followed the directions recovered by the man. Grey had to bribe a Peak Venerable with some treasures before he managed to get this information.

From what he knew, it would take at least four or five hours before they got to the place.

….

Some hours later.

The duo were taken to a building lying in the eastern part of the Town. It wasn't eye-catching, but Grey was able to quickly sense the difference. It gave off an odd aura.

Grey and Klaus arrived at a Town, relatively big, but couldn't be compared to a City. But in comparison to most of the towns they've seen, this one is definitely the largest.

They entered the town and silently followed the trails the person told them. These were the same trail the Sovereign used to track the person they were searching for.

The duo were taken to a building lying in the eastern part of the Town. It wasn't eye-catching, but Grey was able to quickly sense the difference. It gave off an odd aura.

Grey made use of the bunny leader's little bunnies to investigate the building. He didn't want to carelessly rush inside. For some reason, he was scared there's a possibility there might be a portal here. Given the places he has seen a portal, it was understandable he felt this way.

The bunny leader pa.s.sed on the scene from inside the building to them. It was safe to enter. There were only three people inside, all ladies. Two Sovereigns, and a Venerable. According to what the bunny leader said, both Sovereigns were in the First stage, but one of them looked to be on the verge of dying.

"We should go in and stop whatever the Gnomes have planned." Klaus said.

"How are we so sure these people aren't Necromancers as well?" Grey didn't want to make a move recklessly.

Klaus turned to the bunny leader.

"The dying lady is being forcefully dragged. They will be out of the house soon." The bunny leader said.

"See."

"Fine, let's go."

Grey and Klaus took the step forward, not caring to open the door. Grey used the s.p.a.ce element to enter the building, and he was taken aback by how difficult it was to enter with the s.p.a.ce element.

'The s.p.a.ce around this building is blocked.'

It was blocked, but given his mastery of the s.p.a.ce element, he didn't have any issues with getting in.

As soon as he entered, he saw a familiar figure.

"You again?"
