Divine Emperor of Death

"Bruh…" Drake uttered with a dumbfounded expression.

From the moment Pasha made a move, all this didn't even take ten seconds to end.

Wasn't his best friend too overpowered with this little spirit child that appeared out of nowhere, calling him master and whatnot before proceeding to turn Level Nine Immortal Emperors into ashes?

For a moment, he thought he could die here with s.h.i.+t hitting the fan, but it seems like he was only given a fright instead.

'This isn't good for health. In the future, I must swindle more immortal crystals out of this child labor exploiter for medical compensation…' Drake rubbed his chest as though comforting his pounding heart.

He was worried for his wives as they could've gotten caught in the battles that he had no way of stopping. Fortunately, they were together with Davis's wives in the mansion's barrier, mingling with them while he was with Starlight Jade Wolf King and the others, protected by the Central Primesky Alliance's Ancestors, who were coughing up blood a few times because of the shockwaves.

Most Immortal Emperors had more or less taken some damage due to withstanding the sound waves for them.

"That's the Divine Emperor of Death for ya~" Alexi Ethren raised a cup of broken gla.s.s, his tone melancholic as he was drunk.

They looked at each other, shrugging as though this wasn't inconceivable when it concerned Davis.

"Everyone, I apologize for the mess."

Davis's voice echoed out as he adopted a smile again, "There was a bit of trouble, but as you can see, the problem was taken care of."

Calypsea appeared before him, causing him to hug her.

"Very good, Calypsea. You didn't harm anyone else, focusing on the enemies who dared to raise their fists against us. You kept our teachings in your mind and protected me and our family."

"Really?"

Calypsea smiled, her expression delighted as she raised her head to gaze at him.

"Yes!"

"Hehehe~"

Davis lifted her up and spun her around, causing her to laugh cheerfully. A few seconds later, he put her down and handed her something.

"Here's your reward."

Calypsea's eyes shot wide as she saw his palm. Before anyone could even see what it was, as Davis's back was blocking their view, she s.n.a.t.c.hed it away from Davis as though afraid he would take it back and throw it in her mouth.

"Mhmmm!!!~~~"

Calypsea danced as her legs flailed mid-air, her expression blossoming with delight as she had her lips enclosed. The debut release occurred at N-ov3l=B(j)n.

"Do you like it?"

Davis asked, causing her to nod her head again and again before she pounced at him and hugged him, still humming with delight as she had a tasty treat.

Looking at this scene, Davis couldn't help but display a heartfelt smile.

Praises no longer worked on Calypsea, but treats sure did.

Indeed, Davis just fed her a tiny wisp of annihilative heavenly flames. He still had more to go around, enough to keep Calypsea entertained for a year if he gave her one wisp per week.

However, if Calypsea's appet.i.te increased and she demanded more, then he couldn't do anything about it.

Tia wryly giggled before turning to look at Davis and Everlight.

Everlight was emotional as she inwardly thanked Saintess Lunaria for all the teachings that allowed her to not only heal but also fight.

"You were the one who predicted this could happen and had Mingzhi formulate such a plan that involved Calypsea as bait, huh…"

Tia giggled, "Actually, it was Hailac who divined that our enmity with the Northern Sphere Bandits wasn't over yet when she saw that the karma between Zanqua and the Northern Sphere Bandits hadn't ended, so I divined Zanqua but ended up finding nothing but then thought of the next public event we would have, which is this day…"

She winked, "… and the karma begetting enmity clicked…"

"Oh…"

Davis was slightly taken aback, not expecting Mystic Diviner Hailac to look after his family. She was here with them as she had followed them here, living next door to Tia, but he never got to meet her as she was secluded all year long.

"Is she fine?"

"She is fine. I've been giving her some pointers, so she's making enormous progress. Although not as good as me since she doesn't have my ridiculous physique, she makes for one h.e.l.l of a Diviner, probably having surpa.s.sed the dead old foggies in the Heaven Gazing Hall."

"Great." Davis nodded, "The more the foresight, the better the outcome. Make sure she gets paid sumptuously."

"But I don't think she wants-"

"Not today."

"My bad." Tia realized she was overstepping her bounds, shooting an apologetic look towards Everlight.

Everlight lightly shook her head, indicating that she wasn't bothered.

"See you later, big brother~"

She waved her hand and turned around to fly away, causing Davis to stare at her back for a few seconds before he looked at Everlight, his smile turning wry.

"Well, the wedding crashed a bit, and I apologize for it, Everlight."

"I enjoyed the show~" Everlight didn't seem disturbed at all.

In fact, she was smiling profoundly.

"Haha. That's good to hear."

"Husband~"

"What?" Davis blinked, attentive to her needs.

"I just wanted to say that…"

However, Everlight looked at him shyly, causing Davis's expression to churn.

The h.o.r.n.y mood that accompanied him from the moment he was awakened today but was disturbed a while ago returned like the dog it was, causing him to reach out his hand and hold hers.

"Husband, although I love peace, I'm not a Nine Lives Gracious Fox in essence since I also love battling, so please don't exclude me from having fun."

"Understood." Davis nodded sincerely, "But we will have better fun now, so let's go."

"…"

Everlight's cheeks reddened, knowing what was ahead of her.
