Xia Nuan was pulled into the arms of Ye Sichen, but when she saw the hickeys on his bare chest, she was so sad that she pushed Ye Sichen away.
“Do you want me to stay here to enjoy your performance on the bed? Let me go.” Xia Nuan struggled angrily.
“Listen to me.” Ye Sichen grabbed her arms, “You misunderstood us. Nothing happened between us. Please trust me.”
Ge Li sat on one side of the bed where Xia Nuan once slept, and cried, with her messy hair.
“Ye Sichen, I don’t have the right to censure you. You can do whatever you want. I have no rights to restrain you. Now I just want to leave here, can I? I feel uncomfortable for staying a second longer. I want to leave.” Xia Nuan’s tears rolled silently down from her cheek.
“Trust me, Nuan.” He grabbed her hand tightly.
Xia Nuan was stubborn. She shook him off, “I feel my heart was pressed by such a heavy stone that I can’t breathe at all. I’m about to suffocate. Let me stay alone.”
Ye Sichen released her hand. Xia Nuan turned to leave.
Ye Sichen slammed his fist on the wall in despair. He attributed these to Ge Li, so, he called his subordinates to send Ge Li away.
Mrs. Ni came in to stop him, not allowing Ye Sichen to send Ge Li away.
“Let her explain to Xia Nuan. She can make up for her mistake.” Ye Sichen knew Ge Li was instructed by Mrs. Ni, but after all, she was his mother, “I trust her, so, I asked her to stay here, but she betrayed my trust in such a contemptible way. How can she continue to stay here?”
These were said to Mrs. Ni.
Hearing his words, Mrs. Ni was embarra.s.sed. She obviously had figured out the implication of what he said, “You can’t blame it on Ge Li. As you know, this was instructed by me, but I did this for you! I know Ge Li is the most right person for you! She is pure and honest, and loyal to you. Her father is also loyal to you all the time. What’s her weakness that makes you dislike her? While Xia Nuan once was one of Yuezhao Organization, and she once had a disgraceful marriage with Ye Enchen…”
Xia Nuan leant against the wall, hearing Mrs. Ni’s words which kept stabbing her heart like a dagger.
She felt most insulted.
She wanted to argue with Mrs. Ni, telling her that either joining Yuezhao Organization or the marriage with Ye Enchen, she did these for Ye Sichen. But Mrs. Ni was so arrogant. How could she listen to her explanation?
Xia Nuan sneered and went downstairs.
Gu Jinhan saw it all. He frowned and wanted to follow Xia Nuan.
“Mr. Gu, I think you should stay at the room.” Di Luoke came up and stopped him.
Gu Jinhan turned around and looked at him, “I know the whole thing. I can help Mr. Ye explain it to Xia Nuan.”
“I’ll thank G.o.d if you don’t make some trouble.” Di Luoke threw a hint, and then Gu Jinhan was forced to enter the room by the subordinate.
When Di Luoke had left, Gu Jinhan went out with an excuse that he wanted to take his clothes in the bedroom on the first floor, but he was still followed by others.
Xia Nuan was depressed and fretful. She did not know how to deal with these things. She trusted Ye Sichen, but she could not stand Mrs. Ni’s censure.
Mrs. Ni would not accept her even if she did well. She did not know how to continue her life here.
Wuyou and Nianci looked at Xia Nuan, came to her quietly and snuggled up to her.
“Mom, I hate grandma. She always tells something bad about us to dad.”
“I heard it. She dislikes us, and she dislikes mom, either. We just leave.” Wuyou said in anger.
Xia Nuan covered his mouth when hearing this, “You’ll always be your father’s good children. Don’t say something like that.”
“But why did dad stay with Aunt Ge Li? Doesn’t he like mom?” Wuyou defended Xia Nuan.
“Dad just got sick. Aunt Ge Li was looking after him. You don’t misunderstand him.” Xia Nuan told a lie.
“Really? Mom?” Nianci doubted it and asked Xia Nuan.
Xia Nuan nodded. Seeing Ansheng was a little sleepy, she held him in the arms and took Wuyou and Nianci to another bedroom.
Ye Sichen ordered Ge Li to leave, even though Mrs. Ni stopped him determinedly. Ge Li trembled, her tears rolling down from the cheek, and she wore her clothes, and left in an awkward manner.
Mrs. Ni was in a rage, pointed at Ye Sichen, and almost fainted.
Ye Sichen was stubborn. He was really irritated this time. Even if Mrs. Ni was really angry to faint, he would not feel sorry. He just left to look for Xia Nuan.
“Nuan…” Ye Sichen pushed the door of the bedroom.
Xia Nuan hugged Ansheng, with the other two children leaning against her, and Gu Jinhan sat beside her.
Ye Sichen’s eyes became gloomy.
“Nuan. I can a.s.sure you that nothing had happened between Mr. Ye and that servant. I just lived next to the bedroom. The soundproof situation was not good that I could hear what they said clearly. Mr. Ye kept refusing. He loves you. I believe he won’t have affairs with someone else. He cares about you very much.”

Xia Nuan raised her eyes, looking at Gu Jinhan, “Thank you.”

“Well, dad, you must promise that you never do it again.” Wuyou and Nianci stood between Xia Nuan and Ye Sichen.
The two children protected Xia Nuan, staring half-fiercely and half-lovely at Ye Sichen.
Ye Sichen just smiled, “I promised you that I’ll love your mom forever.”
Xia Nuan looked at the two children, showing a doting smile. Ye Sichen was relaxed and held Xia Nuan’s hand tightly.
In order to help Xia Nuan to forget the unpleasantness before, Ye Sichen changed the bed in the bedroom and even threw the quilt, bed sheet and pillow.
Xia Nuan acquiesced in his action. This affair about Ge Lin just came to an end.
“Nuan, how do you want to deal with Ge Li? I can do what you wish.” Ye Sichen asked her in a low voice, holding her waist.
“She is Mrs. Ni’s people. Just let her stay here to look after Mrs. Ni. Don’t mention it again.” Xia Nuan knew that Mrs. Ni hated her very much. If she drove Ge Li out, Mrs. Ni would detest her more.
What she could do now was to get along well with Mrs. Ni, and got a peaceful life.
“You’re right. Nuan, it’s my fault. I couldn’t give the chance to Ge Li. You can beat me to vent your anger, or I’ll feel guilty.”
Ye Sichen took her hand to beat his face, but Xia Nuan was reluctant to beat him, and withdrew her hand.
“It’s not your fault. I just don’t know how to get along well with her.” Xia Nuan looked at Ye Sichen’s chest, her eyes becoming gloomy.
“I’ll find a way to let her accept you. Don’t worry.” Ye Sichen held her hand, and kissed her, “I think we should take some action, such as having another baby.”
Xia Nuan said, “Another baby is another burden in such a situation…”
“For me, there’s nothing to be worried about.” Ye Sichen turned over to look at Xia Nuan from a condescending position.

Gu Jinhan was lying in the next room, covering his ears. A flash of agony crossed his eyes.
Ye Sichen deliberately arranged him to live in the next room, so that he could hear Xia Nuan’s voice.
Gu Jinhan was on the verge of collapse. But for his plan, he had to tolerate it. He closed his eyes, not allowing himself to hear and think, and clenching his fists tightly.
