Necropolis Immortal

Chapter 2108: Wanfeng

After formula dao a.n.a.lyzed G.o.d’s Tomb, Lu Yun vanished on the spot with a s.h.i.+ft of his body.

Given the external circulation of heaven and earth, he could turn an area eighteen meters around him into his personal domain. It was his heaven and earth, his world.

He controlled everything within this radius.

If his external circulation grew strong enough, he would encompa.s.s all of subjectivity and the objective world. He would be the omnipotent presence that could affect objectivity with the subjective.

But Lu Yun was too insignificant for now and he could only influence an area of eighteen meters.

Still, that was a start.

……

He entered the tomb without needing to dig a thief’s tunnel. Although the tomb was covered by mud and rocks, those were the same as air to someone of Lu Yun’s cultivation level. He easily made his way in when he deployed his personal domain.

If there was a place that the external circulation of heaven and earth couldn’t pierce through, then there would be nothing that a thief’s tunnel could do either.

Scarlet light flooded the premises and countless ghost zombies came into view. They were crammed together like c.o.c.kroaches in an enormous clearing that housed an altar at its center. The altar was the same as one that Lu Yun had seen before—the mother altar!

It was G.o.d’s mother altar!

There was a figure standing on top of it, a faint smear of red. It’d thrown its head back to howl at the sky, like it was summoning something. The ma.s.ses of ghost zombies in the vicinity were gathered by this figure in red.

When Lu Yun took a closer look, he realized that it was a young woman dressed in blood-red robes. Shapely and lithe, he could see her clearly despite their p.r.o.nounced distance.

His heart quailed.

Wanfeng.

The young woman standing in the center of the altar was Wanfeng! Someone who he least expected to see!

Lu Yun could plainly identify that it was Wanfeng, not just someone who looked very similar to her!

Wanfeng…

She was the first person he’d seen after the Tome of Life and Death brought him to the world of immortals. He’d met her again when he traveled back to the great wilderness. And now, he’d come across her in reality!

Many had come and gone in Lu Yun’s moderate span of years. He’d drifted away from numerous friends he’d once fought side by side with until they completely lost touch. But Wanfeng had never exited his life.

She’d been waiting for him in the past when he traveled through time. She was waiting for him now although he’d left his existence and was the equivalent of dead to those who’d known him.

Not Qing Yu, not the little fox, but Wanfeng.

His body turned numb and a strange feeling rose from the bottom of his heart. His external circulation of heaven and earth exploded outward with unbridled power, sectioning him from this part of the void.

It was like he’d vanished, though he remained where he was. Nothing could see or sense him as he strode through the void and paced toward Wanfeng dressed in a scarlet silk dress.

She was still howling.

The ghost zombies she summoned furiously threw themselves against an eerie rune on the other side of the altar. It curved and twisted, forming a blood-red skull. The vast tomb was flooded with scarlet light because of it. It was plainly a seal, one that kept the real tomb hidden away.

If Lu Yun wished to enter G.o.d’s Tomb, he would have to first break the skull shape.

Wanfeng was directing the boundless ghost zombies to break the seal. They converged onto the altar from all directions and rammed their bodies against the rune.

Lu Yun shook with horror. He didn’t know why Wanfeng was here or why she could control the ghost zombies. Right now, her life form was no different from them. She was also a ghost zombie, but one infinitely stronger than ordinary ones.

Her eyes gleamed with scarlet light—possibly an innate characteristic or a reflection of the blood-red skull. The look in her eyes was remote and emotionless as she considered the skull rune.

Lu Yun arrived next to her and could sense the rampaging brutality inside of her that was the same as the ghost zombies.

She was Wanfeng.

He shook violently as grief emanated from his body, an emotion that was swiftly dispersed by the external circulation of heaven and earth. Lu Yun remained cautious and prudent, furiously deploying formula dao on everything within his domain and trying to determine the reason for what he saw.

He also tried to calculate how to turn a ghost zombie back into a living person.

“Is…” Lu Yun took a deep breath. “Is Wanfeng here from the world of immortals, or was there one here all along?”

He had no idea what was going on. Perhaps the Wanfeng in front of him had come to this world for some reason after he left his original world, or perhaps there was one here to begin with and the one in the world of immortals existed because of her.

No matter which situation it was, Lu Yun had never fathomed the scene in front of him right now.

“I… I can’t fight her” was the only answer he came to after his a.n.a.lysis. Not only was he not a match for this Wanfeng, but she could rip through his external circulation and tear his primary body to pieces.

Lu Yun didn’t dare take the bet that Wanfeng would remember him if he revealed himself. She might not.

Regardless, he had to try and save her.

He stood eighteen meters away from her, silently watching the figure in red. She was still howling and staring at the skull. More ghost zombies gathered around them and threw themselves at the rune, their durable bodies cracking like an egg as soon as they touched it.

At the same time, there were so many of them and the ghost zombies contained a strange poison inside their bodies that continuously polluted the seal.

Finally—

Boom.

The scarlet skull shook.
